• La Generalitat es compromet a estudiar la viabilitat del projecte després què l’Ajuntament sol•licitara un recurs residencial per atendre a les víctimes de la violència masclista
Gandia 26 de gener 2017.- El govern de Gandia vol que qualsevol dona que haja sigut víctima de la violència masclista dispose d’un espai que li garantisca una protecció absoluta i un refugi, en el qual puguen estar amb els seus fills. Moltes vegades, no tenen recursos econòmics ni cap lloc on anar i necessiten un allotjament urgent. Per això, l’Ajuntament ha demanat a l’Institut de les Dones i per la Igualtat de Gènere, organisme dependent de la Generalitat Valenciana, la creació d’una vivenda tutelada per a víctimes de violència de gènere.
En aquest espai, les dones també tindrien la intervenció psicosocial adient, a través d’un equip de professionals, i l’estada sol ser curta (fins a 30 dies). La directora general de l’Institut de les Dones i per la Igualtat, Maria Such, s’ha reunit este matí amb l’alcaldessa de Gandia, Diana Morant, la vicealcaldessa i responsable de l’Àrea d’Igualtat, Diversitat i Polítiques Inclusives a l’Ajuntament, Lorena Milvaques, i el co-portaveu de l’executiu municipal José Manuel Prieto, per a impulsar projectes d’igualtat a la ciutat, entre d’altres, la creació d’un recurs residencial per a les dones maltractades, una iniciativa que formarà part de la xarxa pública de la Conselleria d’Igualtat. Such veu la necessitat que la capital de la Safor albergue este espai, per la qual cosa s’ha compromés a començar a estudiar la seua implantació.
Este pas endavant ha suposat una satisfacció, tant per a Morant com per a Milvaques. “En aquesta ciutat som conscients de la situació de desigualtat que es viu en la societat. Les administracions volem treballar conjuntament per tractar d’eradicar la violència de gènere”, ha expressat Morant, qui ha agregat que els projectes del Consell aplicats a Gandia “de segur, que ajuden a moltes persones”.
Maria Such, al seu torn, ha manifestat que és important pensar o dotar d’algun servei o infraestructura que mire cap a la igualtat i que puga ajudar les dones de la ciutat i de la comarca de la Safor, perquè Gandia és un punt clau a la Comunitat Valenciana. “Gandia és important per a nosaltres, i creiem que hem de treballar i veure quins són els projectes d’enguany que podem encapçalar per tal d’oferir una millor atenció, per exemple, que hi haja una persona encarregada de coordinar totes les polítiques en matèria d’igualtat, per a enfortir el teixit associatiu de la ciutat i així, en els casos més greus, com és la violència masclista, que és la part més cruenta de la desigualtat, puguem tallar-la. Volem assessorar, recuperar i empoderar les dones d’aquesta ciutat”. En este sentit, ha anunciat que, a partir de l’1 d’abril, l’Ajuntament comptarà amb un agent d’igualtat, sufragat per la Conselleria.
La vicealcaldessa ha recordat que s’han fet molts projectes a Gandia en matèria d’igualtat, “però volem anar més enllà, per a veure la possibilitat que, a Gandia, els recursos que arriben es puguen facilitar, també, als municipis de la comarca”. Tant Morant com Milvaques han reconegut els esforços que, des del Consell, s’estan realitzant cap a les dones de Gandia. En la reunió, també s’ha parlat de la Cursa de la Dona, que enguany es dedica a la lluita contra la violència de gènere. La regidora s’ha compromés què els diners que s’arrepleguen d’esta prova esportiva i solidària, es destinen a la vivenda tutelada “sempre que es confirme que hi ha viabilitat tècnica per a la seua creació”.
