Divendres, 10 de febrer. Bellreguard dedicarà febrer als serveis socials un altre dels 10 eixos sobre els quals giren les polítiques inclusives municipals. El Pla d’Inclusió, Igualtat i Cohesió Social (ICSBe) es marca una sèrie de reptes en l’horitzó 2016-2021 entre els quals la millora dels sistemes d’informació i d’assignació de recursos per tal d’assegurar un sistema de prestacions que permeta donar suport econòmic a aquelles persones en situació de vulnerabilitat; reduir la pobresa infantil; o garantir la prestació d’uns serveis bàsics a tota la població encarats de forma particular cap als col•lectius més desfavorits ja què, com explica la regidora de Benestar Social, Dora Salavert, «Potenciar l’eficàcia i l’accés als serveis socials per a la millora de l’atenció a les persones més vulnerables».
El mes de gener es va tractar la qüestió de l’habitatge amb diverses accions temàtiques i en febrer arriba el torn dels serveis socials. La idea de dedicar durant cadascun dels 10 mesos triats a un eix o àrea de gestió vol contribuir a la visibilitat dels objectius del pla, la conscienciació col•lectiva sobre la seua importància, així com concentrar esforços tant pel que fa a la gestió com a la comunicació de les polítiques igualitàries i inclusives amb les quals l’equip de govern de l’ajuntament de Bellreguard en general i la regidoria de polítiques inclusives en particular, «volem avançar cap a una societat més cohesionada i solidària amb els grups i persones més vulnerables» com reconeix Salavert. Perquè es complisca el pla i s’aconseguisquen els objectius, cadascun dels reptes mensuals proposa 15 accions concretes que s’acompanyen de nombrosos indicadors qualitatius i quantitatius pensades per al correcte seguiment i avaluació del pla mentre s’executa.

But networks like CBS sometimes deliver taped programming to affiliates like Global TV ahead of time. That appears to be what happened in this case: The Friday version of the “60 Minutes” episode is what streamed to Canadian viewers.
The inadvertent Canadian stream is “the best thing that could have happened,” a CBS source told CNN on Monday evening, arguing that the Alfonsi piece is “excellent” and should have been televised as intended.
People close to Weiss have argued that the piece was imbalanced, however, because it did not include interviews with Trump officials.
Weiss told staffers on Monday, “We need to be able to get the principals on the record and on camera.” However, in an earlier memo to colleagues, Alfonsi asserted that her team tried, and their “refusal to be interviewed” was “a tactical maneuver designed to kill the story.”
At the end of the segment that streamed on Global TV’s platform, Alfonsi said Homeland Security “declined our request for an interview and referred all questions about CECOT to El Salvador. The government there did not respond to our request.”
The segment included sound bites from President Trump and Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem. But it was clearly meant to be a story about Venezuelan men deported to El Salvador, not about the officials who implemented Trump’s mass deportation policy.

At the end of the segment that streamed on Global TV’s platform, Alfonsi said Homeland Security “declined our request for an interview and referred all questions about CECOT to El Salvador. The government there did not respond to our request.”
The segment included sound bites from President Trump and Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem. But it was clearly meant to be a story about Venezuelan men deported to El Salvador, not about the officials who implemented Trump’s mass deportation policy.

“We need Greenland for national security, not for minerals. We have so many sites for minerals and oil and everything,” Trump said, trying to make the case for annexing Greenland, despite its status as a self-governing territory of Denmark. “If you take a look at Greenland, you look up and down the coast, you have Russian and Chinese ships all over the place. We need it for national security. We have to have it,” he added.
During his Monday remarks, Trump went on to claim that Denmark has “spent no money” on Greenland and has “no military protection.”
While thanking Trump for his appointment, Landry said it was an “honor to serve you in this volunteer position to make Greenland a part of the US.” He also said that “this in no way affects” his position as Louisiana governor.
Trump has repeatedly stated that he wants to annex Greenland – a huge, resource-rich island in the Atlantic and self-governing territory of Denmark – claiming that this is needed for American security purposes.
Both Greenland and Denmark, a NATO ally of the US, are staunchly opposed to the idea.
Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen and Greenland’s Prime Minister Jens-Frederik Nielsen reiterated their opposition Monday to US plans to take over Greenland, stating “you cannot annex another country. Not even with an argument about international security,” according to Reuters.
“Greenland belongs to the Greenlanders and the US shall not take over Greenland,” they said in a joint statement.
Nielsen said earlier Monday that Trump’s announcement “may sound big, but it does not change anything for us. We decide our own future,” Reuters reported.

The Great Lakes have the most shipwrecks per square mile among all bodies of water in the world, largely due to the high shipping traffic in the 19th century and the lake’s volatile weather. Researchers know about the wrecks because reporting any commercial ship that sails on the lakes is required; from the early 19th century to the 20th century, about 40,000 ships sailed the Great Lakes, Baillod said.
There are about 6,000 commercial vessels on the seabed of the Great Lakes, lost to storms or other issues. In Lake Michigan alone, there are over 200 shipwrecks waiting to be discovered, according to Baillod, who has created a database of these ships over the past three decades.

And then there are advancements in technology. “Side-scan sonar used to cost $100,000 back in 1980,” he said. “The one we used to find this (shipwreck) was just over $10,000. They’ve really come down in price.”
The National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration, or NOAA, has a project in the works to map the bottom of the Great Lakes in high resolution by 2030. If the organization succeeds, all shipwrecks will be found, Baillod said.
In the meantime, Baillod said he hopes he and his team will continue to discover missing shipwrecks from his database in the coming years and bring along citizen scientists for the ride: “I keep looking, and I don’t doubt that we’ll keep finding.”
