Testigos Silenciosos:
Los niños son demasiado crueles en muchas ocasiones.
No se dan cuenta del daño que causan con sus acciones, o con la falta de ellas.
Me pongo en estas líneas en la piel de esos niños que tienen la desgracia de estar en el lugar equivocado, en el momento inadecuado, con compañeros que les hacen la vida imposible.
La escuela, para mucha gente, se convierte en el peor estadio en el que jugar un partido, el del bullying, que no cesa ni baja el ritmo.
Cuando una víctima de esta lamentable práctica tiene que aguantar el día a día en este ambiente tóxico, es muy probable que en el futuro haber padecido estos hechos le pasen factura.
He visto muchos casos de personas adultas, atrapadas en un viejo recuerdo atormentado, que no deja que avancen en su historia personal.
Sus necesidades de seguridad fueron borradas de un plumazo durante muchos años, y es más enrevesado de lo que parece a simple vista, porque hay mucho personaje implicado, tanto los profesionales que trabajan en el centro, que encuentran todo tipo de justificaciones para no asumir sus responsabilidades, pasando por algunos padres, que en su intento de mejorar la situación que padecen sus hijos, generan un ambiente más hostil, y por supuesto, aquí hay otra parte muy olvidada, y con tal importancia, que cambiaría por completo si se centraran las actuaciones por ese camino.
Esos testigos son tanto los verdugos, los acosadores, que libran su propia batalla interior, que consiste en querer ser líderes para no enseñar su debilidad, y, por otro lado, los compañeros del alumno perturbado con la violencia, que ven todos los días como ese niño/ esa niña sufre, llora, pide ayuda a gritos y necesita una mano amiga, que reduzca tanta presión.
La primera vez que tuve un paciente que venía por bullying me conmocionó la suerte que decía sentir , por haber podido dejar de lado el colegio para pasar al instituto, dejando atrás años que me describía desde el terror.
Esta sociedad nuestra se centra en crear líderes, personas que consigan los más altos objetivos en su vida, pero se olvidan de que somos personas, que necesitamos crecer en un ambiente seguro, cálido, y que, en demasiadas ocasiones, no es lo que nos encontramos si hablamos del ámbito escolar.
Miedo me da el individualismo en que están creciendo nuestros niños, nuestros hijos, sobrinos, hermanos,… y esa gran competitividad que tanto se fomenta.
Pongamos los medios para que la escuela se convierta en un lugar seguro, nuestra intención de escuchar a esos niños que necesitan gritar a voces lo que les sucede, y por supuesto, no dejemos que nadie camine solo/a cuando pase por una experiencia de tal importancia emocional, y premiemos al mismo tiempo a aquellos valientes que se atrevan a poner remedio, aunque sea con la mera intencionalidad.
Me gustan las personas que buscan que el mundo sea un lugar mejor, y considero que es más fácil de lo que parece ayudar ante un caso, aunque el miedo nos nuble e impida que veamos que ponernos en marcha es necesario, para que no haya ni una sola víctima más.
Cada caso acaba, no sólo con la persona que padece el acoso, sino que flaco favor se hace al acosador, que no es más que una persona destructiva, que tiene miedo de pasar de puntillas, que necesita tanto destacar que no soportará las cosas malas que le traiga la vida, y, por supuesto, mención especial tiene la familia de las víctimas, que en la mayoría de casos queda destrozada por el sufrimiento que arrastra el niño/la niña víctima del bullying.
Mi duda es si se podría hacer más, y tengo la esperanza y el deber y compromiso, como profesional, de que la respuesta sea sí.
Si cada persona dedicara un minuto de su tiempo a ver en qué grado puede ayudar en este tema, creo que entre todos encontraríamos soluciones fáciles de poner en marcha, y las escuelas se convertirían en el lugar seguro que deben ser.
La infancia debe ser un lugar maravilloso, que sirva para formar soñadores, y que el niño/ la niña viva esos años desde la tranquilidad, generando grandes recuerdos, y forjándose como una persona que luchará por lograr esos sueños es el principio del camino. ¡Luchemos para que sigan soñando nuestros niños!
