El Grupo Municipal Popular fue claro en el Consell Local de Comerç, de ayer: “El PP se posición en contra de cualquier consulta sobre este tema, cuando además no ha sido consensuada en el Consell Local de Comerç, sino impuesta al pequeño comercio de la ciudad”.

Durante la jornada de ayer en el Consell Local del Comerç, los comerciantes observaron que pese a sus reivindicaciones y su firme voluntad, de no celebrar consulta, ni cambio de usos en el Polígono Sanxo Llop, ésta ha caído en saco roto. Y es que el mantra de la participación que insistentemente menciona el gobierno, no es más que marketing al obviar la opinión del consejo consultivo referente en materia comercial.
Los comerciantes tras la tensa reunión de ayer, ya han anunciado movilizaciones y el PP, único partido que defiende al comercio local y de proximidad en Gandia, ofrecerá su representación institucional para defender en todos los foros posibles la posición de los comerciantes de Gandia.
Para el Portavoz del Grupo Municipal Popular, Víctor Soler: “El PP va a demostrar que es el único partido que defiende los intereses del comercio local y proximidad. Soler ha continuado: “Més Gandia ha vuelto a demostrar como ya hizo en la Ciudad del Transporte, que está del lado de quienes proyectan polígonos industriales y luego los reclasifican como suelo comercial, matando al pequeño comercio de la ciudad”.
Aun así el PP, quiere dejar constancia que no está en contra de la llegada de empresas como Conforama, u otras inversiones, positivas para la ciudad, pero siempre en el suelo clasificado para tal efecto para así no romper la ordenada planificación del suelo, ni quebrar los necesarios equilibrios entre los diferentes sectores productivos de la ciudad. Por ejemplo, los populares ya propusieron que si existe interés por parte de la citada empresa en instalarse en Gandia, puede hacerlo a unos escasos metros del Polígono Sanxo Llop, justo enfrente, en la Ciudad del Transporte, donde aún restan amplias parcelas comerciales.
De igual modo, el PP tampoco se posiciona en contra de las consultas populares, ahora bien, estás deben estar ratificadas por todos los órganos consultivos de la ciudad que tengan vinculación con el tema y salir siempre adelante por unanimidad. Ninguno de estos dos requisitos, se produce en la citada convocatoria que los populares califican de “pseudoconsulta alegal”. No debe ser por tanto, un instrumento para que el Gobierno de Gandia se inhiba de sus responsabilidades cuando le interese o no sepa qué hacer.
Los populares insisten en que siempre han defendido la necesidad de proteger el comercial local y de proximidad, como un aliciente creador de riqueza y prosperidad. El abuso de suelo comercial en la periferia de la ciudad podría llegar a generar efectos adversos sobre el empleo.
Por último, los populares argumentan de este modo su no a más suelo comercial en la periferia para evitar dañar el comercial local y de proximidad, y el empleo que ello genera.
