Avui dijous, a la Casa de Cultura Marqués de González de Quirós, tindrà lloc un nou concert del cicle Jazzdijous, que organitza el Departament de Cultura de l’Ajuntament de Gandia. L’actuació estarà a càrrec del grup liderat pel prestigiós baterista nordamericà Jeff Jerolamon.

Jeff Jerolamon és un dels bateries més solvents de l’escena estatal. Al llarg d’una carrera de quasi 40 anys, Jerolamon ha actuat i gravat amb músics de la talla de Junior Cook, Joe Henderson, Johnny Griffin, Sonny Fortune, Herb Ellis, Lee Konitz, Lou Donaldson, Tal Farlow, Wallace Roney , George Cables, Jorge Pardo, Tete Montoliu, John Hicks entre d’altres. També destaca la seva participació en 3 gires amb noms tan importants com la Count Basie Orchestra (sota la direcció de Frank Foster), Louie Bellson i Arthur Taylor, dos dels grans de la història de la bateria.
A més del propi Jeff Jerolamon, el grup el completen Julio Fuster al contrabaix i Joan Vicens als saxos.
El concert està previst per a les 8 de la vesprada, al saló d’actes de la Casa de Cultura i les entrades poden adquirir-se en la pròpia Casa de Cultura, al preu de 6 euros.
