Gandia 11 d’abril 2017.- La regidora delegada d’Esports, Lydia Morant i Rubén Donet, en representació del Club Ciclista Escapada han presentat aquest matí la primera edició de la marxa cicloturista Alé Cycling Gandia que tindrà a la nostra ciutat com a sortida i arribada a la plaça del Club Nàutic el pròxim 23 d’abril i on s’espera la participació de més de 800 ciclistes procedents de pràcticament totes les províncies d’Espanya.
L’etapa consta de 131 quilòmetres i recorrerà ports de muntanya com el de la Llacuna, Barx, Beniarrés, barreta i Pla de Corrals.
Lydia Morant ha destacat que la prova comptarà amb la col•laboració de la Policia Local, Creu Roja, Protecció Civil a més de voluntaris. «Volem agrair al Club Ciclista Escapada que hagin seleccionat Gandia per desenvolupar la prova. Ja vam ser seu de final d’etapa de la Volta Ciclista a Espanya, de la Setmana Ciclista Valenciana i seguirem apostant per aquestes iniciatives que no només ens posiciona com a ciutat esportiva i saludable sinó que tenen un impacte directe en la nostra economia i turisme. Per això, van rebre un reconeixement a la passada I Gala de turisme on vam reconéixer la seua excel•lència a l’hora d’organitzar proves esportives que tenen un impacte directe en la ciutat».
Per la seua banda, Rubén Donet, va explicar el traçat de la prova on s’ubicaran 4 avituallaments i que després de l’arribada dels participants, hi haurà activitats diverses a la zona de meta. Dins el recorregut, el port de Beniarrés serà crono escalada a més d’haver-hi talls de temps per motivar l’espectacularitat de la prova.
