Gandia 19 de juny 2017.- L’alcaldessa de Gandia, Diana Morant, la vicealcaldessa Lorena Milvaques i els representants al consistori del Partit Popular, Víctor Soler i de Ciutadans, Ciro Palmer, juntament amb el regidor delegat de Cultura, Joan Muñoz, han presentat aquest matí els actes que se celebraran a la nostra ciutat amb motiu de la Capitalitat Cultural així com l’acte d’inici que tindrà lloc el dijous 22 de juny a partir de les 22 hores a la plaça Major.
«Obrim un any en el qual Gandia serà el focus valencià de la Cultura en totes les seues manifestacions artístiques. I ho serem, senzillament, perquè som una ciutat que sempre ha cregut i ha apostat fort per la Cultura. Ho hem fet amb convenciment, però també amb l’obligació que ha de tenir una ciutat d’estar a l’altura del seu passat. I el passat cultural de Gandia, com sabeu, està banyat de la riquesa que ens dóna haver estat la casa dels grans clàssics de la literatura valenciana, de la saga valenciana més internacional de tots els temps, els Borja, però també del punt de trobada dels que, probablement, van ser els primers artistes de la humanitat a la Cova del Parpalló» va afirmar Diana Morant.
L’alcaldessa va recordar que «sabíem que ens mereixíem ser la primera Capital Cultural Valenciana. El departament de Cultura de l’Ajuntament de Gandia en bloc, des del seu regidor, el company Joan Muñoz, passant per tots i cadascun dels seus tècnics, es van posar mans a l’obra per elaborar un programa que seduís a la Conselleria i que ens reconegués la tasca que realitzem cada any» i ha destacat que «la gran dificultat per a l’Ajuntament de Gandia és la nostra situació econòmica. No podíem elaborar un projecte que suposés una despesa extraordinària important, però havia de ser prou atractiu perquè Gandia estigués a l’altura. I efectivament, vam ser capaços de presentar el millor projecte de capitalitat cultural».
Durant la seua intervenció, Morant va anunciar la posada en marxa de la Mesa de la Cultura, on estaran representats tots aquells col•lectius i entitats que treballen en àmbits relacionats amb la mateixa perquè puguen fer les seues aportacions a la programació, convertint d’aquesta manera aquest any, en un any per a tota la ciutadania.
La vicealcaldessa, Lorena Milvaques, va fer valdre el fet que «haver estat nomenats la primera Capital Cultural de la història valenciana, suposa un reconeixement a la riquesa que atresorem i avala tota la feina que s’està fent de manera transversal per remarcar el que som. Malgrat el difícil moment econòmic que travessem, farem tots els esforços necessaris per a seguir generant cultura. Aquelles ciutats que mantenen la seua història són aquelles conserven la seua riquesa».
Per la seua banda, Víctor Soler, va voler agrair a l’alcaldessa «el tarannà que ha demostrat en aquesta qüestió. Quan estem units i som capaços d’arribar a consensos, tots guanyem. El torrent cultural de Gandia té molta feina des de la base i la ciutadania i aquest any hem de fer un esforç perquè aquest any siga recordat com el gran any cultural de la ciutat. Vull donar l’enhorabona a tots els que han fet possible el nomenament».
Ciro Palmer, en representació de Ciutadans, també va voler agrair el gran treball realitzat. «El nomenament és un repte i una proposta de futur per a la ciutat en la qual tots hem d’estar en la mateixa línia. És un èxit de tots i esperem poder desenvolupar-lo entre tots».
Finalment, Joan Muñoz, va explicar que la programació s’ha dividit en les quatre parts i que cadascuna d’elles desenvoluparà activitats corresponents a un art. Així, la primavera serà per a les arts plàstiques; l’estiu, abordarà les arts musicals; mentre que la tardor recollirà les arts literàries per acabar durant l’hivern amb les arts escèniques. «No volem que la capitalitat cultural siga només cosa de l’ajuntament. Volem que s’implique la ciutadania i ja estem recollint propostes no només de les entitats culturals sinó que ja comptem amb suports dels empresaris”.
Acte inaugural
Dijous la Plaça Major acollirà l’acte de presentació de la capitalitat amb un acte que barrejarà tradicions amb la modernitat tecnològica. La peça central serà un vídeo mapping sobre la façana de l’Ajuntament de Gandia, seguint la pauta de la inauguració de les dues últimes edicions de la Fira i Festes de la ciutat, però en aquesta ocasió serà en 3D i fent un recorregut de 10 minuts que abasta des de la riquesa cultural i patrimonial dels tresors de la Cova del Parpalló (coneguda per molts com la Capella Sixtina del Paleolític), fins a l’actualitat, passant pels grans Clàssics de la literatura valenciana i, per descomptat, els Borja, grans mecenes que fan que Gandia mantingués el seu pes cultural en l’àmbit internacional. Però a més de la modernitat del video-mapping, també tindrà presència el personatge festiu gandià per excel•lència, el Tio de la Porra, i la Muixeranga de la Safor elevarà una figura de quatre altures que donarà pas a un castell de focs artificials amb el qual es donarà per iniciada la capitalitat cultural valenciana. «Des d’aquí, anime a tots els gandians a unir-se amb nosaltres en aquesta festa i a totes les activitats que, durant un any, faran que Gandia ressone a tot arreu lligada a la Cultura. Estarem, un cop més, a l’altura de les circumstàncies. El nostre passat ens observa, i des d’ara sabem que el futur també podrà mirar cap enrere amb l’orgull de saber que vam ser la primera Capital Cultural Valenciana de la història» va finalitzar Morant.
