Atendiendo a los datos de las últimas cinco campañas, representan a más de 9.100 socios, que producen 16,7 millones de kilos de aceituna, con los que se elaboran posteriormente unos 3,3 millones de litros de aceite, que suponen entre el 17% y el 19% del total producido en la Comunitat Valenciana.
Las cooperativas participantes en el proyecto abarcan todo el territorio valenciano, desde La Plana Alta al Comtat, pasando por La Canal de Navarrés, La Costera, la Vall d’Albaida y Los Serranos.

Un total de siete cooperativas oleícolas de diferentes zonas de la Comunitat Valenciana han puesto en marcha un proyecto de integración en el ámbito comercial
Cooperatives Agro-alimentàries de la Comunitat Valenciana, al igual que sucediera con el reciente proyecto de integración comercial de vino a granel de 18 bodegas cooperativas de Utiel-Requena, ha desarrollado un papel muy relevante en la gestación de esta iniciativa, impulsando acciones para evaluar del interés del sector en el proyecto, las fórmulas más adecuadas para encauzarlo, estudiando su viabilidad técnica y económica o ayudando en la fijación de objetivos, entre otros aspectos.
De esta forma, si atendemos al promedio de las últimas cinco campañas, la producción de las siete cooperativas integrantes del proyecto asciende a los 16,7 millones de kilos de aceituna, que se transforman posteriormente en unos 3,3 millones de litros de aceite. Esta cifra supone entre el 17% y el 19% del total producido en la Comunitat.
Entre los objetivos que persigue el proyecto, se encuentran en primer lugar la mejora del nivel de renta que perciben los productores y el incremento de los ingresos por la comercialización de aceite. Para lograrlo, se trabajará en varios aspectos. En primer lugar, se creará una marca común bajo la cual se comercializarán aceites de alta gama que aprovecharán las capacidades de crear coupages que ofrecen las diferentes variedades autóctonas cultivadas en cada zona por las cooperativas participantes. Esta marca también comercializará otros aceites de oliva virgen extra, que se ajustarán a los gustos y necesidades de diferentes grupos de consumidores para facilitar su penetración en el mercado.
Otra línea de trabajo es la profesionalización de la comercialización de los productos elaborados por las cooperativas participantes en el proyecto. En la actividad comercial a desarrollar en común, se incluirán tanto los aceites elaborados bajo la marca común como las referencias con las que actualmente ya cuentan cada una de las siete cooperativas.
A medio plazo, se estima que el proyecto también ofrecerá a estas cooperativas otros beneficios, como la mejora de los precios de las compras en común realizadas o la posibilidad de coordinar de forma más eficiente las campañas. El proyecto, del que es conocedor la Conselleria de Agricultura, Medio Ambiente, Cambio Climático y Desarrollo Rural -que apuesta por el desarrollo de iniciativas de estas características-, se beneficia de las ayudas en materia de integración impulsadas por la Adminstración autonómica valenciana.
Los representantes de las cooperativas involucradas en el proyecto han destacado que “la participación sigue abierta para otras cooperativas que estén interesadas en sumarse a esta iniciativa. La suma de más cooperativas nos permitiría consolidar el proyecto, aglutinar una mayor producción y configurarnos como un actor todavía relevante en la comercialización de nuestros aceites”. Asimismo, han remarcado que “la evaluación de los gustos de los clientes de diferentes mercados internacionales a los que pretendemos llegar va a ser fundamental para el desarrollo de los productos que vamos a comercializar con la nueva marca que se va a impulsar”.
Desde Cooperatives Agro-alimentàries de la Comunitat Valenciana, se destaca el creciente interés de las cooperativas valencianas por participar en iniciativas de este estilo, en busca de una mayor profesionalización de la actividad, de mayor eficiencia en su desarrollo y de mayores beneficios para los agricultores. De esta manera, el fomento y apoyo a proyectos de integración como este se establece como una línea estratégica de actuación que seguir potenciado durante los próximos años.
