La nueva legislación instaura beneficios para las familias más vulnerables y requiere de la intervención de los servicios sociales municipales
La alcaldesa de Gandia, Diana Morant; el concejal de Bienestar Social, Nahuel González; miembros del gobierno; técnicos del Ayuntamiento de Gandia; el delegado de Iberdrola en la Comunitat Valenciana, Joaquín Longares; y responsables del departamento Comercial de la compañía se han reunido esta mañana en las dependencias municipales para tratar la aplicación del nuevo bono social y la nueva legislación estatal que insta a la compañía a permitir descuentos en casos especiales. El bono social es un mecanismo regulado por el Gobierno Central que busca proteger a las familias vulnerables y con menores posibilidades económicas. Recientemente ha sufrido cambios respecto a qué usuarios pueden acogerse al mismo.
Este bono requiere de la colaboración de la administración pública para hacer efectiva la reducción de la facturación. Existen tres tipologías por renta y por casos especiales como ser víctima de violencia de género. Además, durante la reunión se ha explicado que los beneficiarios del antiguo bono social tienen de plazo hasta el próximo 10 de abril para acreditar la condición de consumidor vulnerable y beneficiarse de las nuevas condiciones. Mientras tanto siguen disfrutando de dicha condición aunque no cumplan los nuevos criterios fijados por el Gobierno.
Durante la reunión, los representantes municipales han asegurado que el Ayuntamiento de Gandia colaborará a través de los servicios sociales para que las familias con problemas económicos no queden excluidas de este bono social. Fuentes municipales han señalado que la reunión ha puesto de manifiesto la sensibilidad social de ambas instituciones.
