Albert Rivera: «No apoyamos la huelga feminista porque no somos anticapitalistas»

«El día 8 de marzo habrá una representación de nuestra Ejecutiva que estará en esa manifestación que defiende la igualdad de las mujeres pero no apoyamos la huelga general anticapitalista que han convocado porque no somos anticapitalistas». Así de claro lo ha dejado Albert Rivera en la sede nacional de su partido en donde ha comparecido este lunes tras reunirse con la dirección permanente de Ciudadanos.

 

 

 

Rivera ha opinado que «ser feminista no significa ser anticapitalista, ni defender la igualdad de la mujer tiene que tener la obligación de pertenecer a una ideología u otra».

 

 

Una de los detalles que ha chocado es que la comparecencia de este lunes ante los periodistas, en una semana marcada por los numerosos actos feministas que hay convocados, la haya realizado el propio Rivera y no, como es habitual, la portavoz nacional, Inés Arrimadas, que ayer precisamente participó en una debate en el programa El Objetivo de La Sexta junto a un elenco de destacadas mujeres políticas.

 

 

Arrimadas sostuvo lo mismo que Rivera y opinó que apoyar la causa de las mujeres se podía hacer desde muchos ámbitos y de muchas maneras pero anunció que ella no haría huelga por no compartir la intencionalidad política de sus convocantes.

 

 

«Todas las ideologías políticas tienen que defender de manera transversal la igualdad, la lucha por las mujeres y su libertad. Ambos valores son los que nutren al feminismo desde hace decenas de años, y desde luego, nunca han estado adscritos a una ideología, siempre han sido movimientos transversales y eso es lo que defiende Ciudadanos», ha añadido a su vez Rivera.

 

 

El presidente de Ciudadanos ha asegurado que sí estarán en los actos institucionales que se hagan en el Congreso «o allá donde sean por el 8M» pero ha insistido de nuevo en que «confundir la reivindicación de ese día con la obligatoriedad de hacer huelga general nosotros no lo compartimos».

 

 

Rivera ha recordado que «precisamente han sido las mujeres de Ciudadanos las que han liderado esa posición dentro de nuestro partido, cosa que compartimos todos en el partido independientemente de que seamos mujeres o hombres».

 

 

Fuentes de la dirección no han concretado aún quiénes acudirán de la dirección a la concentración feminista del próximo jueves pero el propio Rivera ha descartado su presencia porque «nunca he ido en otras ocasiones». (fuente: eldiario.es)
