L’Ajuntament de València ha anunciat hui la iniciativa per aconseguir que el Dia Internacional de la Paella siga una realitat el pròxim setembre. Així ho ha exposat la regidora de Desenvolupament Econòmic Sostenible, Sandra Gómez, en la presentació de la pel·lícula ‘Paella Today’ al consistori, que ha comptat amb el suport de l’Ajuntament i que ha estat rodada als carrers més destacats de la ciutat.
“València té una oportunitat, que és la paella, un dels plats més reconeguts en l’àmbit internacional”, ha dit la regidora Gómez. El quart plat més reconegut en tot el món, segons les dades oferides per la regidora, per darrere de la pizza, l’hamburguesa i el sushi. “Des de Turisme València hem de tindre ben clar que açò és una oportunitat formidable per situar a València en el mapa gastronòmic internacional”. Per aquest motiu, l’Ajuntament de València ha presentat la iniciativa del Dia Internacional de la Paella, que vol promoure junt amb tots els sectors implicats.
La idea és aconseguir aquest dia per al pròxim setembre, com ha indicat la regidora, per fer-ho coincidir amb la sega de l’arròs o el tradicional concurs de paelles que es realitza a la localitat valenciana de Sueca, el segon diumenge de setembre. Per aquest motiu, es configurarà una comissió de treball per començar a treballar amb aquesta finalitat.
Amb la mateixa intenció de donar visibilitat a la ciutat se situa la pel·lícula ‘Paella Today’, que ha comptat amb el suport de l’Ajuntament entre d’altres, a través de València Turisme, i que s’estrena el pròxim 23 de març en la gran pantalla. A la presentació d’aquest matí han estat presents el productor executiu Luis Piquer; el president de Wikipaella, Guillermo Navarro; i el gerent de la Federació Empresarial d’Hostaleria de València, David Izquierdo. També han assistit a la roda de premsa el director del llargmetratge, César Sabater, així com actors i actrius, com ara Olga Alamán i David Amor.
“Turisme València ha estat un referent pel que fa al suport tant promocionalment com anímicament, ens han ajudat a tirar endavant aquest projecte”, ha dit el productor executiu Luis Piquer. La pel·lícula ‘Paella Today’, que ha suposat dos anys de treball, se centra en aquesta “icona gastronòmica” i es pot emmarcar dins del “renaixement de la indústria del cinema valencià”, ha destacat Piquer.
Per la seua banda, el president de Wikipaella, Guillermo Navarro, ha explicat que estan convençuts que ara ha arribat el moment d’impulsar el Dia de la Paella.
