El Grupo Municipal Popular denunciado en rueda de prensa a través de su concejal Guillermo Barber, que el Festival Cortoons que ya va por su tercera edición, vuelve a ser de nuevo un fracaso. Y la respuesta del concejal de Cultura Joan Muñoz
Un festival, que en boca de la actual Alcaldesa de Gandia, Diana Morant, iba a ser un “revulsivo para desestacionalizar el turismo de Gandia”, para que ahora afirme que se esperaba más aforo. Y es que, una edición más se ha podido comprobar que a la misma prácticamente solo asisten los organizadores, autoridades y poco más.
Barber ha lamentado: “La Alcaldesa se las daba de que era un festival de índole internacional en FITUR. Que desestacionalizaría el turismo de nuestra playa. Y la realidad es que no asiste nadie más que organizadores y autoridades. Es dinero público tirado a la basura”.
Los populares reseñan esta contradicción evidente y solicitan a la Alcaldesa de Gandia, Diana Morant, que se ponga de acuerdo consigo misma y deje de mentir a los ciudadanos de Gandia y de despilfarrar su dinero en proyectos que hasta por tres veces han fracaso, como el Festival Cortoons.
Respuesta del concejal de Cultura Joan Muñoz
El regidor delegat de Cultura, Joan Muñoz ha respost hui en roda de premsa a les crítiques abocades per part del Partit Popular sobre el Festival Internacional de Curtmetratges d’Animació Cortoons que es va celebrar a la nostra ciutat la passada setmana.
Joan Muñoz ha explicat que «el primer i normal per parlar d’un esdeveniment com el Cortoons és haver assistit. Em resulta estrany que el senyor Barber parle d’això quan no va acudir. Les fotos i les dades dels organitzadors diuen tot el contrari».
El regidor ha explicat que la projecció de Loving Vincent va omplir el Serrano igual que Animal Crackers. Les dues pel•lícules Lego de diumenge havien esgotat les entrades fa dies i les activitats realitzades al Campus van ser un èxit d’afluència.
«És cert que l’acte inaugural va tenir menys públic i ens plantejarem el seu funcionament però això no té res a veure amb la resta del Cortoons» va explicar Muñoz qui afegia que «parlar de retorn econòmic en un aspecte cultural no té sentit. En Cultura, el retorn més important és el social a més del d’imatge i projecció de la ciutat. Hem rebut treballs de 82 països diferents i ens estem posicionant com a ciutat de referència en el món dels curtmetratges d’animació».
«Seguirem aquest camí, pas a pas. Els objectius s’estan complint pas a pas i Cortoons continuarà creixent a la nostra ciutat” va finalitzar Muñoz.
