Gandia, 24 de març 2020.- L’alcaldessa de Gandia, Diana Morant, ha signat aquest matí un decret a través del qual s’exonera del pagament del lloguer als inquilins dels habitatges de protecció pública, socials i d’emergència habitacional de la ciutat, durant els mesos d’abril i maig, i amb un caràcter prorrogable.
La finalitat és alleujar la crisi sense precedents provocada pel coronavirus a un col·lectiu d’especial protecció social, i garantir que les famílies seguisquen confinades per evitar propagar el virus.
Aquesta mesura de supressió de pagament, segons el decret, està dirigida a assegurar la protecció dels llogaters d’habitatges que formen part del parc immobiliari de l’Ajuntament de Gandia en situació de vulnerabilitat, després de l’aprovació del Reial Decret 463/2020, del 14 de març, pel qual es declara l’estat d’alarma per a la gestió de la situació de crisi sanitària ocasionada pel COVID-19.
Aquesta iniciativa beneficiarà als 209 habitatges socials de parc immobiliari de Gandia: 147 propietat de l’Ajuntament i 62 de l’EVHA (Entitat Valenciana d’Habitatge), així com a mig miler de persones.
L’Ajuntament de Gandia se suma així a la iniciativa de la Generalitat Valenciana, que va anunciar divendres l’exoneració del pagament del lloguer als inquilins afectats pel coronavirus; i compleix amb la directriu de l’Estat, que obliga a implantar mesures de protecció a la població especialment vulnerable.
El Consistori, d’ofici, aplicarà directament l’exoneració del pagament del lloguer als inquilins, sense necessitat que es realitze tràmit o instància per part de les famílies i unitats de convivència afectades.
D’altra banda, seguint el decret estatal i la protecció de les persones més vulnerables, a Gandia tampoc es va a permetre cap llançament o desnonament que afecti els habitatges de propietat municipal, paralitzant tots els processos judicials que en aquest sentit es trobaven en procés d’execució.
El decret estatal aprovat inclou, a més, una moratòria del pagament d’hipoteques sobre l’habitatge habitual per a treballadors i autònoms que es troben en situació de vulnerabilitat econòmica i per als afectats de la Covid-19. Una mesura pensada per a treballadors que perden la feina per la crisi del coronavirus i autònoms que pateixin una caiguda dràstica dels seus ingressos per la crisi.
L’alcaldessa de Gandia ha manifestat que és d’especial importància garantir el dret a l’habitatge a tots els ciutadans d’aquest dret fonamental, i també a aquells que per la seua situació d’especial vulnerabilitat poden veure reduir els seus ingressos a conseqüència de la crisi sanitària del coronavirus.
Morant: «Som conscients de les dificultats que van a travessar moltes de les famílies que disposen dels lloguers socials que facilitem des de l’ajuntament. I no volem que ningú es preocupe per no poder pagar el seu habitatge en aquests moments de crisi. No volem que ningú es quede sense llar. Per això, hem pres aquesta mesura perquè aquesta situació que travessem ja supera la crisi sanitària i tindrà un impacte negatiu en moltes les famílies, sobretot, en aquelles amb menys recursos».
