Fins i tot a la sala Goya del Museu del Prado de Madrid una mare va ser reprovada per uns empleats afirmant que la seva actitud «podia molestar els altres visitants», que per cert en el mateix instant contemplaven obres com ‘La maja desnuda’.
DOBLE MORAL I CENSURA
Hi ha ‘celebrities’ que s’han fet ressò d’aquesta doble moral. És el cas de la model de Victoria’s Secret Candice Swanepoel, que assenyalava que mai havia sigut criticada per posar en topless per a firmes de moda i en canvi ara sí que ho era per donar el pit en públic. Altres top model, com Gisele Bündchen o Natalia Vodianova, per citar-ne algunes, s’han sumat a la causa publicant imatges on apareixen alletant les seves criatures.

A Itàlia, a principis d’aquest any la ministra d’Administració Pública, Marianna Madia, anunciava que el seu Govern estudiaria una directiva per permetre la lactància en llocs públics, després que una dona fos expulsada d’una oficina de correus per aquest fet.
Aquí, l’associació Lactància en Llibertat reivindica el dret a alletar on i quan sigui necessari, i treballa per a la creació d’una llei que ho permeti. Un dret que ja és una realitat al País Basc, on la carta de drets i deures de les persones al Sistema Sanitari Basc així ho reconeix des del 2015. Les Corts Valencianes van aprovar l’any passat una proposició no de llei que reconeix el dret a donar el pit en qualsevol espai públic. Més recentment, l’Ajuntament de Pamplona ha declarat totes les dependències municipals, biblioteques, escoles, centres culturals, parcs, jardins i carrers «espais de lactància materna», en el marc de la campanya Lacta, impulsada per un grup de llevadores.
