Gandia 21 de juny 2017.- El regidor delegat de Cultura, Joan Muñoz i Vicente Frasquet, en representació dels xiringuitos de la platja, han presentat aquest matí en roda de premsa les activitats previstes per a la celebració de la nit de Sant Joan.
«Es tracta d’unes festes molt populars, que s’emmarca en la línia de potenciar les tradicions com a mostra de la societat viva i culta que som. La nit de Sant Joan suposa una estampa inigualable que mostra el contrast existent entre les fogueres i el mar i és un al•licient més per als turistes que ens visiten» va declarar Joan Muñoz, qui ha afegit que «dins de la línia de col•laboració público privada que anem marcant des de les Mesas de Turisme, aquest any vuit xiringuitos de la platja han organitzat actuacions musicals per amenitzar la vetllada. Continuarem treballant de la mà del sector per generar nous atractius que refermen encara més la nostra platja».
Així les coses, s’ha organitzat animació musical prèvia que recorrerà el passeig marítim a partir de les 23 hores. A les 00.00 hores serà el torn per a l’encesa de la foguera municipal. «Esperem que la gent gaudisca d’aquesta nit màgica i demanem als assistents que ho facen amb moderació i evitant la crema de materials que puguen deixar residus com els palets de fusta».
Per la seua banda, Vicente Frasquet va explicar que «la nit de Sant Joan és el tret d’eixida oficial de la temporada tot i que ja fa mesos que estem treballant molt bé. Quan des de l’Ajuntament ens van traslladar la idea, ens vam posar a la seua disposició perquè es tracta d’això, de generar atractiu que ens beneficia a tots. Nosaltres obtenim rendibilitat i l’ajuntament no li costa un euro».
Finalment, el regidor ha informat que la Demarcació de Costes, dependent del Ministeri, ha tornat a negar l’autorització per disparar un castell de focs artificials. «És una pena perquè ens condiciona el programa i tot i els intents que hem realitzat i la demostració de la cura amb què organitzem i cuidem la nostra platja, el Ministeri, en mans del PP, no ens ha autoritzat. Ens estranya que no se’ns autoritze perquè és l’Ajuntament el que s’encarrega de la neteja. Tots saben que quan s’acaba la festa, les màquines entren a la platja i ho deixen tot impecable».
