El equipo femenino del Club d’Atletisme Safor Delikia Sport participará por tercer año consecutivo en la fase de ascenso a Primera División, que se disputará este domingo en Valladolid. Las chicas del combinado “groguet” se enfrentarán a las catalanas del Lleida, a las madrileñas del Sprint, a las asturianas del Gijón Atletismo y Universidad de Oviedo, a las palentinas del Puentecillas Palencia (organizadoras del encuentro), a las extremeñas del Perceiana-Extremadura y al Intel-Zoiti de Aragón.
Este será el tercer intento de las saforenses, tras los pasados octogonales fallidos de Cáceres y Salamanca, donde no pudieron evitar el último lugar. “Sólo suben dos conjuntos y cada año el nivel es mayor”, apuntó el director técnico del club, David Melo, quien valoró el hecho de clasificarse por tercera vez como un éxito: “Nosotros mejoramos cada temporada pero el resto de equipos tambien lo hacen”, añadió.
Para Melo el objetivo es “seguir madurando y aprendiendo”, porque sigue siendo “un equipo repleto de juveniles donde destacan las atletas Pilar Vázquez y Mar Morant, las únicas que tienen una mínima absoluta este año”. El técnico reconoce que el ascenso es muy complicado, porque “hay equipos de mucho nivel, más experiencia y presupuesto, pero ilusión no nos va a faltar», por lo que apunta que las chicas irán “a competir sin complejos y sólo hay que pedirle a cada una de ellas que dé lo máximo”.
El equipo femenino que alineará el club será el siguiente: Elisa Flor Castro (100 m.l.), María Evangelista (200 m.l.), Noelia Faus (400 m.l.), Pilar Rubio (800 m.l.), Neus Mas (1500 m.l.), Andrea Abad (3000 m.l.), Alba Ortega (100 m.v.), Manuela Blasco (400 m.v.), Pilar Vázquez (3.000 m.obst), Zaira Zafra (5 km marcha), Cristina Segura (altura), María Pérez (pertiga), Claudia Martínez (longitud), Sara Segura (triple), Marina Collado (peso), Mar Morant (disco), Aina Olaso (jabalina) y Maite Giménez, en martillo. El relevo 4×100 estará formado por Almudena de Quero, María Evangelista, Elisa F. Castro y Mar Giner; y el de 4×400 por Manuela Blasco, Pilar Rubio, Carla de Tena y Pilar Vázquez.
Por otra parte, viajarán con el equipo los entrenadores Samuel Mascarell, Miguel Ángel Soler, Iván Martínez, José Clavier, Andrés Denia y David Melo.
