La directora general de l’Agència Valenciana de Turisme, Raquel Huete, ha visitat aquest matí Oliva per tal de mantenir una reunió de treball amb l’alcalde de la ciutat, David González, i la regidora de Turisme, Mireia Morera i on s’han tractat diversos assumptes d’interés del municipi.

El més destacat ha estat l’anunci realitzat per la directora general on ha informat que Oliva formarà part, a través de l’Invatur, d´un important projecte de destinacions turístiques intel•ligents. Això suposarà la inversió en diferents accions per a l´accessibilitat, la innovació, la sostenibilitat i la governança. Una part important d´aquestes accions es destinaran a la millora de les platges d´Oliva per tal de convertir-les en exemple d´’Smart Beaches’ adaptades al seu valor principal de platges naturals.
“Aquest anunci ha estat fruit de les nostres peticions a l’AVT per tal que Oliva es puga convertir en una destinació pionera en platges naturals” assenyalava la regidora de Turisme, Mireia Morera.
A la reunió també s’ha informat als representants municipals que la ciutat d’Oliva formarà també part de la Comissió SEO, un grup de treball compost per tècnics representants de les principals destinacions turístiques referents en l’àmbit online, que té per finalitat reflexionar sobre millora del posicionament de l’oferta turística de la Comunitat Valenciana i determinar estratègies i actuacions coordinades.
D’altra banda, s’ha confirmat que, pròximament, Oliva serà la seu d’una jornada d’hospitalitat turística, ja que des del departament de Turisme es considera molt convenient aquesta iniciativa.
La regidora també ha aprofitat la visita de la directora general de Turisme per tal de conéixer l’estat de les subvencions en matèria turística sol•licitats enguany a l’AVT i també per tal de sol•licitar-li més inversió en elements i infraestructura a les platges com puguen ser més passarel•les.
A la reunió, l’alcalde i la regidora de Turisme han sol•licitat també que agilitze, en la mesura de les seues possibilitats, els treballs per tal de solucionar els problemes amb els rentapeus al més aviat possible.
L’alcalde hi ha agraït la visita de la directora general de Turisme a Oliva i la seua bona predisposició a treballar de forma conjunta amb l’ajuntament i ha destacat que “aquesta és la dinàmica de treball més sensata, és a dir, el treball conjunt i la lleialtat entre el govern autonòmic i el local per dur a terme la millor gestió possible”.
