Gandia, 22 de febrero de 2017.- Hoy jueves, en la Casa de Cultura Marqués de González de Quirós, tendrá lugar un nuevo concierto del ciclo Jazzdijous, que organiza el Departamento de Cultura del Ayuntamiento de Gandia. La actuación estará a cargo del grupo Kiko Berenguer Quartet, una formación especializada en el jazz y la fusión flamenca.
Kiko Berenguer es uno de los más brillantes y expresivos saxofonistas de su generación. Una inagotable inquietud musical y humana la han llevado a profundizar en sus propias raíces y asimilar la música de otras culturas, uniendo jazz, flamenco y sonidos mediterráneos, en un lenguaje muy personal. En este se dan la mano la fuerza rítmica y emocional de estos estilos, con la expresividad que, con los años, ha conseguido en la interpretación, como se refleja en su último trabajo discográfico titulado Aire, en el que colabora con artistas como Omer Avital, Joao Frade y Amos Hoffman.
Además del propio Kiko Berenguer al saxo, el cuarteto lo completan Juan Cortés al piano, César Giner al bajo y Jesús Gimeno a la percusión.
El concierto está previsto para las 8 de la tarde, en el salón de actos de la Casa de Cultura y las entradas pueden adquirirse en la propia Casa de Cultura, al precio de 6 euros.
