El regidor de Responsabilitat Social, Nahuel González, ha fet un balanç aquest matí de les diferents línies d’ajudes que s’estan gestionant des de l’Ajuntament, algunes de les quals en col•laboració amb la Generalitat.
Així, pel que fa a la ‘Pobresa energètica’, el consistori ha pagat un total de 684 rebuts de llum, aigua i gas, per un valor de 73.647 €, a aproximadament 300 famílies de la nostra ciutat. La xifra ha augmentat un 50% respecte a l’hivern de 2016, “fonamentalment perquè ha millorat la comunicació i moltes persones més, que no són usuàries habituals dels Serveis Socials, se n’han assabentat”. González valora positivament la campanya, però ha alertat que les dades “també demostren que encara hi ha moltes famílies que estan passant-ho malament a la nostra ciutat”.
Clàusules sòl
També positives són les dades pel que fa al nombre de persones que acudeixen a l’Oficina Municipal de Mediació Hipotecària per assessorar-se de forma gratuïta sobre les “clàusules sòl”, després de la sentència europea que anul•la aquests tipus de clàusules abusives d’alguns bancs i els obliga a retornar els diners cobrats de forma il•legal. Des del passat mes de febrer s’hi han realitzat 252 atencions, de les quals el 28% sí té dret a realitzat reclamacions a la seua entitat bancària. Hi ha una llista d’espera fins a juny de 100 persones.
Habitatges socials
D’altra banda, el regidor de Més Gandia ha informat que el seu departament està revisant totes les vivendes socials de l’Ajuntament de Gandia que, a hores d’ara, són 49, “un nombre important comparant-lo amb altres ciutats. Una quantitat que, a més, s’incrementarà amb els 27 habitatges que s’incorporaran a la borsa municipal, una vegada finalitze el procés de liquidació de l’empresa pública, IPG.
