La Policía Nacional ha detenido en Venezuela, en colaboración con las fuerzas de seguridad de ese país, a uno de los fugitivos más buscados de España, Rafael Rubén Núñez Cencerrado, un empresario valenciano que lideraba una de las bandas de narcotraficantes más importantes de nuestro país.
Según han informado a Efe fuentes policiales, su arresto se produjo en la tarde del jueves pasado en las proximidades de Valencia, la capital del estado venezolano de Carabobo.
Núñez Cencerrado, natural de Sagunto, fue arrestado en septiembre de 2011 como cabecilla de una banda de narcotraficantes por hechos que se remontaban a 2008.
La Sala Tercera de lo Penal de la Audiencia Nacional le condenó a 18 años de cárcel pero el sentenciado no compareció para ingresar en prisión y aún le quedan por cumplir 16 años y un mes.
En vista de que no se le podía localizar, la Policía difundió el pasado 26 de noviembre su fotografía y datos junto con los otros 9 fugitivos de más buscados para solicitar la colaboración ciudadana.
Gracias a las informaciones que recibió la Policía se pudo localizar al detenido en Venezuela, en una operación conjunta del Grupo de Localización de Fugitivos Nacionales de la Comisaría General de Policía Judicial y el GRECO de Pontevedra.
Según las mismas fuentes, fue a primeros de 2008 cuando este cuerpo de seguridad comenzó a investigar a una organización criminal dedicaba a la importación y tráfico de drogas desde Sudamérica con destino a España.
Ya desde el primer momento los investigadores consideraron a Núñez Cencerrado como el líder de esta organización, a la que la Policía asestó en 2011 un importante golpe con la localización de un laboratorio donde adulteraban la droga y la incautación de cerca de 1.500 kilos de cocaína.
836 de ellos estaban ocultos en un contenedor procedente de Ecuador, 587 en otro que provenía de una empresa petroquímica de Venezuela, 100 se encontraron en diferentes registros y 10 más a un correo que los transportaba por carretera desde Madrid a Galicia para un grupo gallego al que iban a distribuir 70 kilos en partidas de 10 cada semana.
En el domicilio del fugitivo, los agentes encontraron una pistola marca Gloz de un calibre de 9 milímetros.
Núñez Encerrado, de 41 años, es un empresario vinculado a sociedades mercantiles de la Comunidad Valenciana y, en opinión de la Policía, aprovechaba esta circunstancia para controlar desde Sagunto una de las mayores organizaciones de introducción de cocaína a través de contenedores.
Además, el empresario se relacionaba directamente con capos colombianos de los principales carteles de la droga de ese país. (Fuente: Las Provincias)
