Gandia 1 de febrer 2017.- La presidenta de la Junta del Districte del Raval, Àngels Pérez, ha respost aquest matí a les crítiques abocades des del PP després de la celebració de l’última reunió de la Junta de Districte on estan representats els veïns i associacions de la barriada.
En primer lloc, Àngels Pérez ha afirmat que el projecte de remodelació del parc Ausiàs March va ser explicat a veïns i comerciants, ja que segons el PGOU es tracta d’un parc on no es poden estacionar vehicles. «La mesura es va prendre per garantir la seguretat dels xiquets i xiquetes que van a l’escoleta i dels estudiants de música de la Unió Artístic Musical Sant Francesc de Borja Gandia. Era una zona que s’estava degradant i l’hem recuperat per als ciutadans. A més, el PP torna a mentir quan afirma que van a retirar-se places d’aparcament. Tot el contrari. El consistori està negociant perquè algun dels solars abandonats al voltant del carrer Oliva es reconvertisquen en pàrquings gratuïts amb el que no només no es perdran places d’estacionament sinó que s’augmentaran».
D’altra banda, sobre la necessitat d’un centre per a majors en la barriada, l’edil ha lamentat que «el PP faça demagògia i mentisca en les seues rodes de premsa. Van ser ells els que van deixar un deute de 40.000 € en el Centre de Majors Joan Climent i sense pressupost l’edifici. El Centre Social del barri acull totes aquelles activitats que sol•liciten els veïns. Aquest mateix divendres tindrà lloc una xerrada a càrrec de la farmacèutica Mª José Ferrer dirigida als més grans. Un cop més, queda clar que Emi Climent no s’assabenta de l’actualitat del barri i busca la polèmica a força de tergiversar la veritat».
