El temporal obliga a desalojar colegios, cortar el tráfico y rescatar atrapados

La Comunitat registra 150 litros por metro cuadrado de lluvia, vientos de más de 80 kilómetros por hora y nevadas en el interior

 

 

El temporal de lluvia, viento, nieve, rayos y fenómenos costeros que ayer recorrió la Comunitat provocó que los servicios de Emergencias y Bomberos recibieran más de un centenar de avisos relacionados con vehículos bloqueados, desprendimientos en carreteras, árboles caídos y daños en fachadas, entre otros incidentes. Las lluvias obligaron también a cerrar dos colegios y un instituto, a rescatar a los ocupantes de dos vehículos atrapados y a unos excursionistas en el Montgó, y a cortar varias carreteras, entre ellas la antigua circunvalación de Elche y caminos de la Marina.

 

Las fuertes precipitaciones dejaron acumulados de hasta 154 litros por metro cuadrado en Lorcha, según el servicio autonómico de Emergencias. Por su parte, el Sistema Automático de Información Hidrológica (Saih) de la Confederación Hidrográfica del Júcar contabilizaba 152,8 litros por metro cuadrado en la estación de Murla, en Alicante. En la provincia de Valencia, el pluviómetro de Canales Altos del Serpis, en Villalonga, alcanzó los 144,4 litros, según el Saih. Por su parte, la Agencia Estatal de Meteorología contabilizó el mayor registro en el municipio valenciano de Pinet, donde se rozaron los 120 litros. El viento también fue intenso y dejó rachas de 84 kilómetros por hora en Orihuela y de 78 en el aeropuerto de Alicante. En la costa, las olas llegaron a los tres metros de altura, según Emergencias, lo que ocasionó que a última hora de ayer se cerrara al tráfico marítimo el puerto de Sagunto.

 
El brusco cambio de temperaturas (con un descenso de hasta 15 grados en apenas 48 horas) contribuyó a que ayer se registraran nevadas en el interior de las provincias de Valencia y Castellón y varias cumbres del interior norte de la de Alicante, principalmente en las comarcas de la Marina Baja, l’Alcoià y el Comtat. La acumulación de nieve mantuvo cortada a camiones varias horas la autovía A7 entre Alcoy e Ibi y en otros puntos como la N-330 en Ademuz y la CV-170 en Vistavella (Castellón) se prohibía circular a vehículos pesados, según la Dirección General de Tráfico. También se registraban problemas en la CV-478, entre Vallanca a Negrón; en la CV-483, a la altura de Arroyo del Cerezo; en la CV-363, entre los kilómetros 11 y 25 y, especialmente, en la CV-391, entre Requena a Villar de Olmos, según la Diputación provincial. En varias de estas carreteras fue necesaria la presencia de máquinas quitanieves.

 

En el caso de la comarca de la Marina Alta, la tromba de agua obligó a desalojar a los más de 130 alumnos del colegio de barracones de la Xara. El agua de la lluvia se filtró por los barracones inundando clases y pasillos e impidió seguir con normalidad las clases. También se cancelaron las clases en el CEIP Historiador Diago y en el Instituto de Educación Secundaria (IES) els Ports, ambos de Castellón.

 

La lluvia registrada en Dénia provocó, asimismo, el desplome de parte de un balcón de una vivienda protegida de la calle Colón esquina con Diana, el conocido como Horno del Penal. En la capital de la comarca también tuvieron que cortar el tráfico en los caminos Fondo de la Xara, el Assagador de la Marjal, el de la Bota y el Llavador, así como las calles Melva y la Marineta Cassiana. El temporal provocó la caída de tres árboles, dos en Xàbia y uno en Pego. Éste último tuvo lugar en el patio de un colegio, el pino impactó contra un coche.

 

Las imprudencias, además, a punto estuvieron de provocar daños mayores. Por un lado, un hombre tuvo que ser rescatado del interior de su vehículo cuando era arrastrado por el río Serpis a su paso por el término municipal de Cocentaina, en Alicante. El hombre se disponía a llegar a una casa de campo en la zona de Alqueries de Benifloret y, según el concejal de Seguridad de la localidad, Marcos Castelló, hizo caso omiso a las señalizaciones que prohibían el paso desde primera hora de la mañana debido a la crecida del río. Por otro, los bomberos de Castellón también rescataron a los ocupantes de un turismo que se había quedado atascado por el agua al intentar cruzar un barranco en Vila-real.

 

Además, dos excursionistas tuvieron que ser rescatados en la cima del monte Montgó, a donde habían ascendido la noche del domingo desoyendo las advertencias de mala climatología. Habían montado una tienda de campaña para protegerse del temporal de lluvia y viento, aunque finalmente solicitaron ayuda por la imposibilidad de descender. Ambos presentaban algunos síntomas de hipotermia. (fuente: Las Provincias)
