La Casa de cultura de Gandia acoge la exposición Ensembles, con las obras más recientes del artista
Bajo el título Ensembles, Francisco Sebastián Nicolau presenta, en la Casa de Cultura Marqués de González de Quirós de Gandia, una singular revisión actualizada de su trayectoria artística.
En la línea de las últimas creaciones, Sebastián Nicolau nos sorprende con eficaces juegos de pliegues que a través de luces y sombras crea ilusiones ópticas en el espectador y en los que nada es lo que parece.
Aunque la exposición es singular por la multiplicidad de recursos creativos que el artista utiliza (pintura, escultura, fotografía digital, video creación, cerámica…), todas las partes que la componen están interconectadas y vinculadas de diversas maneras.
Según el comisario de la exposición, Juan Bautista Peiró, “ en esta ocasión hay un elemento cuya presencia adquiere especial protagonismo y relevancia: esos hilos, reales y ficticios, cosidos, dibujados, pintados, que literal y literariamente coses esos pliegues (de papel, de cartón, de madera, de metal) tan característicos de su trabajo”.
Junto con sus obras recientes, que ha expuesto en los últimos años en València (IVAM, Almudín, Galería Shiras), en la Fundación Antonio Pérez de Cuenca o en la Galería Juan Gris de Madrid, Sebastián ha seleccionado algunas obras anteriores para reafirmar las constantes en su trabajo, el hilo argumental que articula su trabajo artístico desde hace años con una trama plástica compleja y sugerente.
La inauguración de la exposición será el martes 4 de julio, a las 19.30h y podrá visitarse hasta el próximo 2 de septiembre.
