La misiva, a la que ha tenido acceso Efe, está firmada por 1.869 psicólogos y especialistas en tratamiento psicoterapéutico de víctimas de maltrato y abuso sexual y pretende aportar «información científica» al caso de La Manada que contribuya a esclarecer aspectos y no ponga, en ningún caso, «el foco» en la víctima.Según esta carta abierta, existe una teoría, denominada Polivagal del psiquiatra Stephen Porges, según la cual «ante una amenaza de muerte, lesión grave o violencia sexual, es común una respuesta de inmovilización con latidos más lentos del corazón y reducción de la sensibilidad al dolor».Estos profesionales, que subrayan su «más profundo y enérgico rechazo a la sentencia», argumentan que «el bloqueo» es una «forma rápida de reacción del sistema nervioso para tratar de sobrevivir y minimizar el impacto del suceso amenazante».Por ello, insisten, no tiene sentido plantear la cuestión del consentimiento, «ni tampoco hay lugar para preguntar a la víctima ni es determinante el hecho de que tuviera respuesta sexual».En estos momentos, explican, el organismo genera sustancias para producir una analgesia frente al dolor, «estando disociada e inmovilizada» . Seguir agrediendo a la víctimaEn este sentido, los psicólogos y psiquiatras entienden que lo que hay que hacer es apoyar la superación de la víctima «en lugar de criticarla o someterla a vigilancia».Y avisan que lo contrario «sólo sirve para seguir agrediéndola e incluso contribuir a su retraumatización».
En la carta, estos profesionales también piden una reflexión acerca del sistema patriarcal y las consecuencias «tan graves que tiene para la sociedad en general y para las mujeres en particular».Los firmantes dejan claro que les mueve el deseo de colaborar con la Justicia, «de cara a trabajar por una sociedad más saludable».También señalan que les parece «profundamente sintomático» el excesivo peso que ha tomado el debate en torno a la víctima en lugar de hacerlo en torno a medidas que puedan ayudar a conseguir una sociedad libre de violencias.Por ello, «y a la luz de la evidencia científica», sostienen que es esencial que los informes periciales que se emitan en procesos como éste cuenten con el asesoramiento técnico de personas expertas.También subrayan la «urgente necesidad» de la prevención, incluyendo desde la infancia una educación sexual no patriarcal, con perspectiva de género, transversal y estructural, que favorezca el cumplimiento de los derechos de las mujeres.
