El festival de San Sebastián firma una carta por la paridad de las mujeres en el cine

La Asociación de Mujeres Cineastas (CIMA) han promovido la firma de la misiva
Carmen Calvo, la vicepresidenta del Gobierno, dice que las mujeres deben competir en igualdad de oportunidades.

 

 

 

El Festival de Cine de San Sebastián ha dado un paso adelante este domingo contra la discriminación de la mujer. Sus responsables han firmado la Carta por la Paridad y la Inclusión de las Mujeres en el Cine. Ha sido en un acto con la participación del director del Zinemaldia, José Luis Rebordinos, de Cristina Andreu, presidenta de la Asociación de Mujeres Cineastas (CIMA) y en el que han estado presentes la vicepresidenta del Gobierno y ministra de Igualdad, Carmen Calvo, el ministro de Cultura y Deporte, José Guirao, y el alcalde de San Sebastián, Eneko Goia.

 

 

La Carta por la Paridad es una iniciativa que se presentó publicamente en la última edición del Festival de Cannes, refrendada por la presidenta del jurado de esa edición, la actriz Cate Blanchet y por una amplia representación de las mujeres que acudieron al certamen.

 

 

En San Sebastián, ha sido la Asociación de Mujeres Cineastas y de Medios Audiovisuales de España (CIMA), quien ha promovido que el Festival traslade y firme los puntos básicos de esa carta y se comprometa a su cumplimiento. El documento incluye el compromiso de elaborar estadísticas por género, tanto de los datos del número de cintas recibidas, como las que finalmente llegan a las salas. También sobre el número de mujeres, no solo directoras, que intervienen en cada apartado de las áreas del cine.

 

 

Cristina Andreu ha explicado que es muy importante para las mujeres poder competir en los festivales y ha pedido que tanto las comisiones que eligen las películas para exhibición, como los jurados, sean paritarios.

 

 

La vicepresidenta Carmen Calvo ha dicho que «la igualdad entre hombres y mujeres es el epicentro de la democracia y no hay democracia si no tenemos los mismos derechos». «El cine es un arma poderosa y pacífica que refleja estereotipos y necesita ser trasformado con la participación de las mujeres», ha afirmado. «Queremos competir en igualdad de oportunidades porque sabemos que ganamos. Queremos estar donde por justicia nos corresponde».

 

 

Informe sobre la situación de las mujeres en el cine
Esta Asociación ha presentado su informe anual en el marco del Festival y en él se afirma que el cine sigue siendo un sector «fuertemente masculinizado». Y recoge datos como que en 2017 las mujeres ocuparon el 24% de los cargos frente al 76% de hombres, lo que supone un descenso de dos puntos respecto a 2016, cuando sumaban el 26%.

 

 

Según el informe, siete de las áreas estudiadas están dominadas por los hombres, y solo dos por las mujeres: diseño de vestuario, donde el 86% son mujeres, y maquillaje y peluquería, donde las mujeres representan el 72%. «Son tareas típicamente femeninas según la decisión sexual del trabajo», se remarca.

 

 

En el área de producción los hombres ocupan el 74% de los puestos; en dirección el 88%; en guión el 87%; en composición musical el 96%; en dirección de fotografía el 93%; en montaje el 80%; responsable de sonido el 93% y efectos especiales el 99%.

 

 

El informe del CIMA destaca que solo en las categorías de producción y de responsable de sonido, la presencia femenina ha subido ligeramente. Y afirman que el género masculinizado por excelencia es la animación con presencia solo de un 10% de mujeres.
