Gandia, 9 de novembre de 2018.- El regidor de Mobilitat Sostenible, Xavi Ródenas i la regidora de Polítiques Educatives, Laura Morant han presentat aquest matí el primer “Passaport ciclista escolar”. Es tracta d’un nou projecte educatiu ambiental dels departaments de Mobilitat Sostenible, Trànsit i Mobilitat i Educació, els quals de forma experimental el posaran en marxa a partir de la setmana vinent, d’acord amb les direccions dels centres educatius de Gandia (ja el coneixen). En escoles de ciutats on ja funciona s’ha passat de 4-5 ciclistes a 20-25, aproximadament.
“Volem reconèixer l’esforç dels xiquets i xiquetes que van a escola en bicicleta, perquè això genera hàbits saludables, ecològics i evita el col•lapse de trànsit, amb el conseqüent estrès matiner per a l’alumnat i els seus pares. També representa un important estalvi econòmic. Aquests xiquets i xiquetes donen exemple i visibilitat a l’ús de la bicicleta com a alternativa de mobilitat en una ciutat amb una orografia plana i un clima idonis”, ha assegurat Ródenas.
L’alumnat rebrà periòdicament un Passaport Ciclista Escolar que anirà segellant fins a completar 25 caselles amb el sistema que determine cada centre. Abans de les vacances de Nadal, Pasqua o estiu rebrà una xicoteta recompensa i un reconeixement públic. El passaport també incorpora consells per a ser un bon ecociclista, com ara l’ús del casc, el tipus de via per a la conducció, seguretat, etc…
“Anar a escola a peu o en bici és una activitat saludable i divertida. També un procés d’ensenyament molt positiu que desenvolupa la creativitat, les capacitats de resolució de conflictes, conducta cívica, educació vial, autonomia personal, etc… A més, crea un hàbit que es repeteix per a la resta d’activitats quotidianes”, ha recordat la regidora de Polítiques Educatives.
Prèviament, des del Departament de Mobilitat Sostenible s’està dotant d’aparcament de bicis als patis de les escoles on tècnicament ha estat possible.
També cal recordar que, paral•lelament a aquesta iniciativa, des del departament de Trànsit i Mobilitat s’ha implantat de forma experimental des de l’inici del curs les rutes escolars segures, lliures de cotxes, als accessos i immediacions dels centres educatius. Ja funciona als CEIP Roís de Corella i Joan XXIII (Grau) i la idea és estendre-les progressivament a la resta d’escoles.
