Gandia, 11 de mayo de 2021. El concejal de Turismo y Playas de Gandia, Vicent Mascarell, ha respondido a las críticas efectuadas ayer por el PP en las que se afirmaba que el Gobierno local “mantiene los baños públicos de la playa Nord cerrados”, asegurando que estas críticas son falsas y no atienden a la realidad, ya que estos baños están abiertos los 365 días del año –con la excepción que a causa de la pandemia de la covid-19 se ha tenido que restringir obligatoriamente su uso de manera alterna, con unos abiertos y otros cercados, para cumplir con la normativa sanitaria y garantizar la seguridad de los usuarios–. No obstante, a partir del próximo mes de junio estarán abiertos al cien por cien.
De esta manera, el edil socialista ha lamentado que “el PP de Gandia falte a la verdad y lance estas falsas afirmaciones a una semana del inicio de la Feria Internacional de Turismo (Fitur) para hablar mal de nuestra playa. Les da igual lo que el sector viene pidiendo, es decir, que este tipo de críticas infundadas no se realicen al inicio de la campaña turística y, si se hacen, se hagan en un foro adecuado como la Mesa de Turismo, para no dañar nuestra imagen”.
Así, los Socialistas de Gandia le piden al Partido Popular que trabaje a favor de la ciudad y no en su contra y que, sobre todo, utilice los espacios de participación y deliberación que tienen para plantear sus dudas y llevar a cabo aportaciones, si es que las tienen.
Por último, Mascarell se ha brindado a acompañar personalmente a los miembros del Grupo Municipal Popular a la playa Nord de Gandia para que comprueben ‘in situ’ y sobre el terreno que los baños públicos están abiertos, al contrario de lo que han afirmado. “Si los populares se dignaran a pisar la arena de nuestra playa, se hubiesen dado cuenta que las críticas que han hecho sobre los baños públicos, intentando confundir a la ciudadanía, no tienen ningún fundamento”, ha finalizado.
