La Gala de Turismo de anoche tuvo una utilización ilegal y ventajista por parte de la Alcaldesa Diana Morant al llevar a cabo lo que el Partido Popular considera un mitin político centrado en exaltar su gestión y desprestigiando una vez más al sector hostelero.
De esta manera, el Partido Popular de Gandia presenta una denuncia ante la Junta Electoral poniendo de manifiesto que previamente a la Gala se realizó un Registro de Entrada dirigido a la Alcaldía para evitar que se hiciera un uso político del acto puesto que desde el Partido Popular apoyamos la realización de la Gala de Turismo pero no podemos consentir el uso partidista que se le dio a la misma. Obviándose nuestro aviso, la Alcaldesa hizo uso de recursos públicos para sus propios intereses partidistas. Además, doblemente, ya que hizo balance de su gestión al frente del Ayuntamiento como Responsable del Departamento de Turismo e incluso fue más allá haciendo anuncios electoralistas. Estos son dos temas que la Ley Electoral prohíbe en esta fecha al estar ya convocadas las elecciones.
El concejal popular Guillermo Barber afirmaba en rueda de prensa que “Diana Morant llevó a cabo el papel de candidata y no de alcaldesa, situación que bajo ningún concepto podemos aceptar por ser únicamente los hosteleros los protagonistas de la Gala”. Una vez más se ve la dilapidación y maltrato del sector turístico por parte del gobierno de Diana Morant, por lo que queremos reivindicar a un sector involucrado y comprometido en mejorar día a día para que los clientes y turistas vuelvan a pesar de la nula importancia que reciben de la Alcaldesa.
Además de la denuncia que hoy llevamos a cabo desde el Partido Popular, fueron los propios protagonistas de la Gala, los hosteleros, quienes verbalizaron ante la presencia de la Alcaldesa diversos discursos reivindicando y demandando un gobierno más cercano a los intereses turísticos.
“Diana Morant estaba más preocupada por hacer un mitin político que por escuchar las reivindicaciones de los hosteleros”, concluye Barber recalcando la ilegalidad y la gravedad de lo que denuncia.
