«El ciudadano ilustre» Premio Goya a la mejor película Iberoamericana

 Como mejor película europea ganó «Elle», de Paul Verhoeven.

 

El filme de Gastón Duprat y Mariano Cohn es el 17° argentino en conseguirlo.

La película «El ciudadano ilustre» ganó esta noche el premio Goya a la mejor película iberoamericana. El filme de Gastón Duprat y Mariano Cohn, quienes estuvieron presentes en la ceremonia en el Madrid Marriot Auditorium Hotel, le ganó a la venezolana Desde allá, de Lorenzo Vigas (León de Oro en 2015 en el Festival de Venecia, donde Pablo Trapero fue mejor director por El Clan), a la colombiana Anna, opera prima de Jacques Toulemonde, y a la mexicana Las elegidas, de David Pablos.

El que no pudo llevarse una estatuilla con el rostro del pintor español de los siglos XVIII y XIX fue Rodrigo de la Serna, que competía en el rubro Mejor actor revelación (!), por su papel en la coproducción con España Cien años de perdón. Ganó Carlos Santos, por El hombre de las mil caras.

Tarde para la ira, de Raúl Arévalo, ganó el Goya a la mejor película, mientras que J. A. Bayona resultó elegido mejor director por Un monstruo viene a verme, que tenía una docena de nominaciones y terminó quedándose con nueve estatuillas. Mejor actor fue Roberto Alamo por Que Dios nos perdone, y Emma Suárez, mejor actriz por Julieta, de Pedro Almodóvar. Fue el único Goya para el filme del realizador manchego. Como era previsible, Un monstruo viene a verme arrasó con los galardones técnicos: además de director, ganó montaje, dirección de fotografía, de producción y artística, música original, sonido, efectos especiales, y maquillaje y peluquería.

El ciudadano ilustre es la 17° película argentina en ganar el Goya en el rubro filme iberoamericano. Nuestro país es el que se retiró más triunfador en la historia, ya que producciones nacionales se impusieron en 17 de las 25 veces que una argentina fue candidata. Sólo en 5 oportunidades ninguna realización argentina llegó a una nominación.

Eduardo Mignogna, con tres Goya, es el más ganador en el rubro, seguido por Marcelo Piñeyro y Carlos Sorín, que recibieron dos estatuillas como realizadores de la mejor realización iberoamericana.

Las ganadoras que anteceden a El ciudadano ilustre son: La película del rey, de Carlos Sorín, que se impuso en la primera edición, en 1986. Luego siguieron Un lugar en el mundo, de Adolfo Aristarain (1992), Gatica, el mono, de Leonardo Favio (1993), Sol de otoño, de Eduardo Mignogna (1996), Cenizas del paraíso, de Marcelo Piñeyro (1997), El faro, de Eduardo Mignogna (1998), Plata quemada, de Marcelo Piñeyro (2000), La fuga, de Eduardo Mignogna (2001), Historias mínimas, de Carlos Sorín (2003), IIuminados por el fuego, de Tristán Bauer (2005), Las manos, de Alejandro Doria (2006), XXY, de Lucía Puenzo (2007), El secreto de sus ojos, de Juan José Campanella (2009), Un cuento chino, de Alejandro Borensztein (2011), Relatos salvajes, de Damián Szifron (2015) y El Clan, de Pablo Trapero (2016).
