Imagínese que se siente hombre, que viste como hombre, que a su documento de identidad figura que forma parte del género masculino, que de repente le dijeran que usted es una mujer, la obligaran a vestir como mujer y en todos los sus documentos oficiales figurase que pertenece al género femenino. ¿Qué haría? O al contrario, imagínese, apreciada lectora, que de repente le dicen que usted, que desde que nació ha sentido mujer, está equivocada, que en realidad es un hombre y debe comportarse como un hombre. ¡Sería un desespero!
Así es como se sienten muchas criaturas que han nacido con unos órganos sexuales determinados pero su identidad de género no se corresponde con la que la sociedad les atribuye, y les impone. «Hay niñas con pene y niños con vulva» , y lo tienen claro desde muy pequeños. La asociación de familias de menores transexuales Chrysallis ha roto el silencio con una campaña que lleva precisamente este lema, sacando así a la luz una cuestión invisible y tabú: la de los menores transexuales .
Nadie tiene derecho a imponer a otro quién y cómo debe ser o sentirse. No obstante, desde nuestra más ‘tierna infancia, y en función del sexo que se nos asigna al nacer, se nos dicta un determinado género y unos roles que van asociados. Si naces con pene debes ser y comportarte como un hombre, si naces con vulva debes comportarte como una mujer. Así figurará en tu partida de nacimiento y tu DNI. Se excluye la posibilidad de que esto pueda no ser así.
Según la ley orgánica 3/2007, para poder cambiar tu nombre y tu sexo en estos documentos debes ser mayor de edad, tener nacionalidad española, presentó un informe médico o psicológico y haber estado dos años en tratamiento. ¿Qué significa esto? Se margina a las criaturas y las personas inmigrantes, los más vulnerables, y se impone una mirada patologizando, tratando la transexualidad como una enfermedad. La campaña de Chrysallis, en cambio, rompe una lanza en favor de la diversidad y la diferencia. Somos lo que sentimos que somos , y punto.
La respuesta ante tanta verdad no se ha hecho esperar. La caverna más reaccionaria ha salido en forma de autocar de la Inquisición, financiado por la organización ultracatólica Hazte Oír (declarada, por cierto, «asociación de utilidad pública» por el anterior ministro del Interior, Jorge Fernández Díaz ) , dispuesta a recorrer todo el Estado predicando la siguiente consigna pintada en su vehículo: Los niños tienen pene. Las niñas tienen vulva. Que no te engañen . Si naces hombre, eres hombre. Si eres mujer, seguirás siéndolo. Un discurso lleno de odio hacia la diversidad de género. Afortunadamente, los han parado los pies y les han confiscado el autobús en su recorrido por Madrid. Otras ciudades, como Barcelona o L’Hospitalet, han anunciado medidas similares.
Sin embargo, no olvidemos todas aquellas criaturas que sufren en silencio víctimas de la transfobia y el odio. Queda muchísimo trabajo por hacer .
