L’alcaldessa de Gandia, Diana Morant, ha fet una valoració de la setmana fallera i ha incidit en l’ocupació del 100% que ha registrat el municipi. Tant la ciutat com la platja han tingut molta afluència de gent estos dies amb motiu de les festes josefines fins al punt que era pràcticament impossible trobar taula als establiments hostalers. El fet que hui dilluns siga festa en Madrid també ha influït.
“A Gandia hem viscut una molt bona setmana de Falles, tal vegada de les millors dels últims temps, amb els carrers i els restaurants plens. El temps ens ha respectat després de l’episodi de pluges, ha eixit el sol tots els dies i hem pogut gaudir d’unes festes tranquil.les i divertides, amb actes festius, solemnes i també multitudinaris, com per exemple la nit d’atorgament de premis, on la plaça Major estava que no cabia ni una agulla, i l’Ofrena de Flors, un dels més emotius. Sempre amb la seguretat i convivència garantides per tots els Cossos de Seguretat”.
A Gandia hi ha 23 comissions que no s’han aturat a l’hora de fer activitats i han estat els carrers plens pràcticament a tota hora. “Ha vingut moltíssima gent de fora a Gandia per a gaudir de la nostra festa, que enguany ha estat declarada per l’Unesco com a Patrimoni Immaterial de la Humanitat”, ha comentat Morant.
Els hotels han registrat una ocupació del 100%, una xifra que supera la de l’any passat. “Estes bones dades eren habituals en la campanya de Setmana Santa i ara ja les extrapolem a la setmana fallera, la qual cosa és una molt bona notícia”.
Des de l’Ajuntament s’han fet diferents accions perquè els locals tingueren una recaptació econòmica superior estos dies. “Hem fet una ampliació d’horaris. Tot això és important perquè es mou l’economia. Les Falles han de recaptar diners per a poder reinvertir-los en la festa i que puguen continuar fent falles”.
Amb les Falles, la temporada turística ja s’ha iniciat a Gandia. Les platges ja compten amb el dispositiu de vigilància habitual compost per socorristes i altres efectius de la Creu Roja.
Des del començament de les Falles un total de 15 persones estan operatives fins a l’arribada de la Setmana Santa i Pasqua, del 8 al 18 d’abril, moment en què es duplicarà el nombre de socorristes i voluntaris a més d’incrementar-se el material de logística.
“En definitiva, unes bones falles, una bona ocupació, vigilància a la platja… i moltíssimes ganes de seguir treballant des del departament de Turisme per canviar el model cap a un turisme familiar, de qualitat, esportiu i cultural. Les Falles són un aliat perfecte per a la ciutat de Gandia en este sentit”, ha conclòs Morant.
