El Festival Internacional de cortos de animación se celebrará del 27 al 30 de abril en
Gandía
1.120 cortometrajes de 81 países compiten en esta XIII edición de
Cortoons
Cortoons bate records de participación en esta XIII edición, con
1.120 cortometrajes de 81 países, entre ellos Estados Unidos, Irán,
Montenegro, Israel, Sudáfrica o Ghana, además de España. El Festival
internacional de cortos de animación recupera este año su formato
original y vuelve a ser un concurso, como ha explicado Alessandro d’Urso,
Director artístico de Cortoons en la rueda de prensa de presentación que
se ha celebrado esta mañana: “hemos trabajado mucho en el ámbito
mundial para buscar los mejores cortometrajes. En ediciones anteriores
habíamos llegado a tener 500 inscripciones pero este año hemos llegado a
los 1.120”. Los mejores cortos, de todos los presentados, competirán en
cuatro secciones diferentes ha explicado d’Urso : “cortos de entre 1 y 4
minutos, de cuatro a 20 minutos, los realizados por animadores españoles
y los cortos realizados por las escuelas de Bellas Artes”.
Por su parte, el jurado estará formado por el concejal de cultura
Joan Muñoz, el director de programación de la Filmoteca Valenciana
José Antonio Hurtado, Diego Cabarco director del festival Cartón de
Buenos Aires y Fabrizio Ferrari, director del Roma Independent Film
Festival.
Un éxito de participación que también ha querido destacar Joan
Muñoz, el concejal delegado de cultura del Ayuntamiento de Gandía:
“estamos muy contentos de la cantidad de gente que ha querido participar.
En la edición de este año también tendremos dos masterclass a cargo de
Randy Bishop y Pablo Llorens, además de talleres y una novedad que irá
a cargo del pianista Aracido valiente que, sin conocer el cortometraje que
se proyectará tendrá que improvisar una música para las imágenes”.
Entre las novedades de la edición de este año, se encuentra la
participación como coorganizador, además del Ayuntamiento de Gandía
y el Campus de Gandía la Universidad Politécnica, de CulturArts de la
Generalitat Valenciana.
Diferentes escenarios de Gandía
Cortoons se celebrará del 27 al 30 de abril en diferentes escenarios
de Gandía como el Teatre el Raval, el Teatre Serrano y el Campus de la
Universidad Politécnica. Además de seminarios, masterclass y las
proyecciones de los cortos a concurso habrá paralelamente una muestra
de realidad virtual en el Teatro Serrano. Fuera de concurso se
proyectaran 3 largos: Psiconautas, Bienvenido a Bellvilel, además de
Yellow Submarine.
