Gandia 27 de juny 2017.-. L’alcaldessa de Gandia, Diana Morant, el regidor de Polítiques Amb la Ciutadania, Nahuel González, i altres representants polítics han rebut aquest matí una delegació del govern de l’Estat Plurinacional de Bolívia, encapçalada per la Cònsol, Miriam Evelyn Agreda Rodríguez.
Nota de Premsa
La comunitat de persones bolivianes nouvingudes a Gandia és al voltant de 1.000 persones, el que representa la quarta comunitat d’origen estranger de la ciutat. Per aquesta raó, és important establir llaços i que el veïnat bolivià no patisca una desconnexió amb el seu país, i també hi puga realitzar tràmits burocràtics o votar des de Gandia. En aquest sentit, s’han habilitat espais perquè la comunitat boliviana puga tindre contacte directe amb el seu consolat.
“Gandia som la primera Capital Cultural Valenciana de la història i això també és possible perquè som una ciutat multicultural, el que ens enriqueix molt”, ha destacat Morant.
Per la seua banda, la Cònsol ha manifestat, en primer lloc, la seua sorpresa i satisfacció en comprovar que a Gandia ostenta l’Alcaldia una dona, “perquè nosaltres també hem avançat molt els darrers 10 anys en l’emancipació de la dona a Bolívia i sabem el difícil que és obrir-se pas en una societat patriarcal”. I ha agraït públicament el suport de l’Ajuntament de Gandia a la comunitat boliviana.
Finalment, González ha anunciat que el consistori col•laborarà en la celebració a Gandia del Dia Nacional de Bolívia, el pròxim 6 d’agost. “Anem a continuar amb una reunió de treball on tractarem noves propostes i idees d’intercanvi i col•laboració”, ha conclòs.
