El Campus de Gandia de la Universidad Politécnica de Valencia y el Ayuntamiento de Gandia colaboran en la organización del taller, ‘Curie, un cuento activo’, que tiene lugar el sábado 10 de febrero, de 11:30 13.00h, en la Casa de cultura Marqués González de Quirós de Gandia; La acción también cuenta con el apoyo del Programa de Acciones Culturales (PAC 2018) de la UPV. La asistencia es gratuita hasta completar el aforo del local.
La actividad está dirigida a familias con niños y niñas de 5 a 12 años y forma parte de las acciones del Día Internacional de la Mujer y la Niña en la Ciencia.
El objetivo de la actividad ‘Curie, un cuento activo’ es dar a conocer la historia de la más importante científica de todos los tiempos: Marie Sklodowska-Curie. E n clave de cuento, el grupo ‘Los gatos con pezuñas’ da vida a una vida épica con música, luz y color. Además, se realizarán demostraciones científicas y experimentos sorprendentes.
La Organización de Naciones Unidas ha declarado el 11 de febrero como el Día Internacional de la Mujer y la Niña en la Ciencia, con el objetivo de ayudar a visibilizar el trabajo de las científicas, crear roles femeninos en los ámbitos de la ciencia y la ingeniería ya promover prácticas que favorezcan la igualdad de género en el ámbito científico.
El comité de igualdad del Campus de Gandia de la UPV, formado por estudiantes, profesores y personal de administración y servicios es responsable de esta iniciativa desde el Campus, con la colaboración de la Concejalía de Igualdad, Diversidad y Políticas inclusivas del Ayuntamiento de Gandia.
