Gandia, 30 de julio de 2018 – El mayor logro para una persona en riesgo de exclusión social es conseguir formación y empleo. En esta línea trabaja Cáritas Gandia a través de diversos programas y en este sentido, el director de la entidad, Eduardo Mahiques, junto al técnico Dani Muñoz, han recibido esta mañana en el Centro de Atención Integral (CAI) de Cáritas al gerente del COR, Sergi Pérez, y a la inspectora de Vytrusa, Mónica Bas.
El objetivo de la visita era establecer sinergias entre Cáritas y el COR con el fin de ofrecer nuevas oportunidades a personas en riesgo de exclusión social a través de la formación y el empleo.
En este sentido, Sergi Pérez ha señalado que el objetivo del encuentro entre ambos organismos es el de estudiar y establecer sinergias para que “los residuos se conviertan en una oportunidad
para colectivos con menor disponibilidad de tener una vida digna; para incluir a personas en riesgo de exclusión dentro del ámbito de la gestión del COR; explorar programas de formación para que los ciudadanos en riesgo de exclusión puedan dedicarse a un nuevo campo de trabajo, la economía verde; y a corto plazo, ver cómo reintroducir en la cadena de valor determinados residuos que se recogen a través de los ecoparques y ecoparques móviles”.
Por su parte, Eduardo Mahiques ha agradecido la visita y ha calificado la reunión de “positiva para las dos partes. Espero –ha señalado-, que el COR y Cáritas puedan colaborar en la formación y el empleo para colectivos en riesgo de exclusión, en beneficio de las personas”.

Sergi Pérez ha firmado también en su visita al CAI en el árbol del comedor del centro. El gerente del COR ha dejado un mensaje de aliento a los beneficiarios del centro con una cita de José Ortega y Gasset “sólo es posible avanzar cuando se mira lejos. Solo cabe progresar cuando se piensa en grande”.
