Gandia 7 de març de 2019.- L’alcaldessa de Gandia, Diana Morant, acompanyada pel regidor delegat de Falles, José Manuel Prieto, el president del districte del Grau, Miguel Ángel Picornell, el president de la Federació de Falles de Gandia, Telmo Gadea i les dues Falleres Majors, Laura Puig i Júlia Perles, han comparegut hui davant els mitjans per a presentar la programació d’actes que es duran a terme a la nostra ciutat del 15 al 19 de març.
Les Falles de 2019 presenten novetats respecte a les de les edicions anteriors. “Sempre hem considerat les Falles com la festa gran de la ciutat”, ha dit l’alcaldessa, qui ha posat l’accent en l’esforç de tota la ciutadania, inclòs el món faller, per a superar els anys de crisis a la nostra ciutat. Des del govern local, s’han pres decisions encertades en la distribució del pressupost destinat a aquestes festes i gràcies a una renegociació bancària s’ha pogut reduir la despesa principal que tenia aquest col•lectiu: el Museu Faller.
Aposta pels espectacles pirotècnics
Amb aquestes condicions de recuperació econòmica i amb l’aposta que es fa sempre des del govern local per les Falles, enguany hi ha novetats dins de la programació. S’amplien el nombre d’espectacles pirotècnics a cinc. “Ja que enguany les dues falleres majors són graueres i la barriada del Grau sempre ens han reclamat tindre la seua mascletà, enguany la tindran”, ha dit l’alcaldessa. La Pirotécnia Borredà de Rafelcofer, donarà el tret inicial a les Falles el dia 15 de març, en el Passeig Rosa dels Vents. Les altres quatre mascletades, del 16 al 19 de març, es duran a terme al Parc de l’Estació, com és costum, a les 14 hores.
D’altra banda, Diana Morant ha ressaltat que aquest primer espectacle pirotècnic és un bon reclam per aquells ens visiten eixos dies, ja que coincidirà amb l’obertura de la temporada turística de la nostra ciutat.
Els dies 16, 17 i 18 seran disparades per la Pirotécnia Focs Artificials del Mediterrani. El dia 19, estarà a càrrec de Pirotécnia Nadal-Martí, copatrocinada pel supermercat Family-Cash.
Després de l’èxit de l’any passat, Gandia gaudirà de nou de la seua Nit del Foc.
Enguany es duplica la quantitat de pólvora. Serà el 17 de març, a les 00.00 hores, al Parc d’ Ausias March (al costat del riu Serpis). Enguany comptem amb la prestigiosa Pirotécnia de Ricardo Caballer, empresa valenciana amb reconeixement i projecció a nivell internacional.
Revetles totes les nits
També ha augmentat el nombre de revetles nocturnes. Seran quatre en total, del 15 al 18 de març. Igual que ocorre amb la pirotécnia, també ha eixit a licitació, sent l’adjudicatari el Grup Ruano. Per a la seua celebració, novament s’ha triat el Parc d’ Ausias March (parc de la festa) per a evitar molèsties als veïns del nucli urbà. Totes les revetles començaran a partir de la mitjanit, a excepció de la del dia 17 que es retardarà a les 00.30 hores per la Nit del Foc.
El 15 de març, actuarà Tumbalea Revolution.
El 16 de març, Dives’s Disc, “espectacle dirigit a tots els públics, però que fa una crida al col•lectiu LGTBI per a que sàpien que les Falles de Gandia són també les seues festes”, ha destacat l’alcaldessa. El mateix dia, a partir de les 01.00 s’oferirà l’espectacle Bacarrá On Tour.
El diumenge 17, actuarà la Orquestra Seven Crash i DJ’s Adrian Faus. La nit del 18 de març estarà amenitzada per la Macrodiscomòbil Follow me Crazy Zoo.

Aquesta àmplia programació contribuirà a reforçar l’expedient perquè les Falles de Gandia siguen declarades festes d’interés turístic nacional.
La presència en el teixit social, la promoció de la cultura o els 143 anys d’història de la festa fallera a Gandia (en 1876 ja hi ha constància documental de la seua existència a la nostra ciutat), han situat les nostres Falles com un dels atractius turístics més importants al llarg de l’any.
Telmo Gadea ha agraït l’aposta des del govern municipal per aquestes festes. “La pólvora forma part del nostre ADN. Moltes vegades es culpa a les falles de ser una festa privada, un vedat tancat on la gent del poble o els turistes no poden acostar-se. Però la pirotécnia, el fer un castell de focs o una Nit del Foc, és un acte públic, gratuït i obert a tots”, ha dit el president de la Federació de Falles de Gandia.
Gadea ha recordat que diumenge que ve, 10 de març, es realitzarà la cinquena edició de la “despertà popular”.
Finalment, José Manuel Prieto, com a delegat de Falles, ha assenyalat que amb aquest programa de festes “es busca que Gandia siga pol d’atracció de la comarca de la Safor i de les comarques centrals valencianes; que tothom puga vindre a Gandia eixes nits i, per això estem convençuts que cada euro que aportem en el desenvolupament de la programació de Falles és un euro que es multiplica en beneficis per a la ciutat”.
