L’autor l’ha tornat a reparar sense cap cost per a l’Ajuntament de Gandia.

Això ens diu que continua havent-hi LGTBIfòbia i que hem de seguir treballant per una societat basada en la igualtat, el respecte, la diversitat i en la qual puguem viure en llibertat”.

Gandia, a 3 de juny de 2020.- El regidor de Cultura, Nahuel González, la regidora d’Igualtat, Diversitat i Polítiques Inclusives, Juana Navarro i l’artista muralista, FLUG, acompanyats de representants de col·lectius lgtbi de la ciutat (Poliqroma Asociación, Independence Gay) i del Consell dels Joves de Gandia, han visitat aquest matí el mural LOVE IS LOVE, que va sofrir, dies enrere, el tercer atac lgtbifòbic. L’autor, l’ha tornat a reparar sense cap cost per a l’Ajuntament de Gandia.
González ha destacat la importància de reivindicar la vigència d’aquest mural. “Els atacs d’aquets intolerants no ens faran callar, no ens aturaran la lluita a través de la cultura per una societat més justa”. El regidor ha agraït també a l’artista “la voluntat de reparar el mural per tercera vegada sense cost per a la ciutat i pensem que aquets atacs ens fan més forts i faran que més ciutadania de Gandia done suport al missatge que la igualtat es un dret humà i no ens aturaran”.
Per la seva banda, Navarro ha indicat que “es tracta d’una obra artística i especialment la representació d’una conducta positiva como és la de l’amor. Sembla increïble com pot haver-hi gent que puga destruir aquest tipus d’art i de símbol social, que és l’amor entre dues persones. Això ens diu que continua havent-hi LGTBIfòbia i que hem de seguir treballant per una societat basada en la igualtat, el respecte, la diversitat i en la qual puguem viure en llibertat”.
L’autor del mural LOVE I LOVE ha agraït la presència del col·lectiu de joves i lgtbi que han vingut a donar suport. “De nou ha sigut atacat però sempre diré que front a l’odi sempre estarà l’amor com és el missatge d’aquest mural, que porta signat un poema de Vicent Andrés Estellés ‘paraules que parlaven d’un amor invencible’”.
Cal recordar, que “Love is love” es fa pintar ara fa dos anys, dins el programa municipal Serpis Urban Art Project, amb motiu de la celebració de la III Gandia Pride, Orgull Gandia. Està situat al costat de l’aparcament municipal del Gregori Maians.
Finalment, els regidors han visitat també el mural “Dones en lluita per la igualtat”, a l’IES Ausiàs March, que també ha patit agressions recentment
