• Les actuacions tindran lloc els divendres i dissabtes d’entre el 25 de juliol i el 18 d’agost, a les 22.30 h. També hi haurà ruta de tapes ‘Destapa’t’, de 20:00 h a 22:00 h.
• La inauguració del Festival, el 25 de juliol, es combinarà amb la celebració d’un concert gratuït al Jardí de la Marquesa, a les 20:30 h, per celebrar els 10 anys de la ruta Destapa’t.

Gandia, 13 de juliol de 2018.- La regidora de Polítiques Econòmiques i d’Innovació, Alicia Izquierdo, i el Regidor de Cultura, Joan Muñoz, junt als representats de la Cooperativa Gandia Comercial Centre Històric, Santiago Garcia, de l’Associació d’Hostaleria del Raval-Prado i Centre Històric, Salva Sanchis, i el director artístic del Festival Polisònic, Eudald Gonzàlez, han presentat aquest matí en roda de premsa la XXIX edició del Festival Polisònic que se celebrarà a Gandia els divendres i dissabtes d’entre el 25 de juliol i el 18 d’agost.
Segons ha explicat Muñoz, hi haurà 8 actuacions musicals en el Jardí de la Casa de Cultura Marqués de González de Quirós a les quals es sumarà un concert més, ja que tal com ha declarat Sanchis “enguany s’ha proposat combinar la música i les tapes” i celebrar els 10 anys de la ruta Destapa’t dels dijous pel Centre Històric de Gandia i la presentació de la XXIX edició del Polisònic. Així doncs, El grup S.A. for Dixieland Band serà l’encarregat d’amenitzar el concert d’inauguració que es realitzarà el dimecres 25 de juliol a les 20:30 h “i tindrà les portes obertes, serà gratuït i hi haurà una selecció de tapes” que es podran adquirir a partir de la compra d’un tiquet amb preus semblants als del Destapa’t.
Per la seua banda, Izquierdo ha afirmat que l’idea de celebrar el desè aniversari de la ruta de tapes amb un concert “és perquè fa 10 anys es va inaugurar el Destapa’t amb un concert en la Casa de la Marquesa” i s’ha volgut rememorar aquell moment. Així mateix, ha agraït al Departament de cultura de l’Ajuntament de Gandia, ja que “van donar una magnifica idea que era la de fer coincidir els 10 anys de festa del Destapa’t amb la festa d’inici del Polisònic que ja duu 29 anys i és una activitat molt consolidada”. A més, ha agregat que la ruta de tapes estarà present també els dies dels concerts. “Tots els dies a partir de les 20 de la vesprada i fins les 22 de la nit la gent podrà anar de tapes abans de cada concert” que començaran a les 22:30 h.
Per tal donar una espenta al Polisònic, des de l’Associació de Comerciants del Centre Històric “es sortejaran tres en
trades dobles per a cada concert a través de les xarxes socials de Facebook, Twitter i Instagram”, ha anunciat Garcia que també ha afegit que és “una manera de promocionar la ciutat, les seues costums i els festivals com el Polisònic que aporten molt a Gandia” . Així doncs, ha aprofitat per “animar a tota la gent que vinga i s’acoste per la ciutat que no para de tindre activitats”.
El director artístic del Festival ha sigut l’encarregat de descriure la programació de la que ha destacat el fet que “hi ha tres concerts que tenen una presència de músics locals molt importants” com són el de S.A. for Dixieland Band, L’Escorcia Big Band o el concert de percussió No+cumie. D’altra banda també hi haurà “ritmes frenètics com els de Los Jóvenes Clásicos del Son cubans, Los Saxos del Averno, que es una banda de rhythm & blues absolutament estratosfèrica, o el concert amb un duet de pianos de boogie woogie”. A aquests es sumaran les actuacions “d’estil més clàssic” com el Frank Catalano Quartet de jazz, Las Vegas Jazz Band de swing o Analía Bueti y la orquesta de las Dos Orillas que faran un homenatge a Carlos Gardel.
Gonzàlez ha afirmat que totes les actuacions “conformen un programa divers en quant als estils però que respon a les sensibilitats i interessos de molta gent que assisteix al Polisònic”. A més, ha explicat que es tracta d’un festival que té un pressupost d’uns 40.000 € i que s’autofinancia amb la venda d’entrades que tindran un preu de 6 € com altres anys i amb les ajudes institucionals rep. Finalment, ha conclòs manifestant el seu interès per poder celebrar el 30 aniversari del Festival Polisònic “que ja té 29 edicions i que quantes més es celebren, millor”.
